forced into poverty, forced into illness, forced into debt. an underclass yoked to the overseer class' deliberate barbarism

asking institutions and orgs that are embedded in capitalism, colonialism, ableism and neoliberalism to truly acknowledge and repair the harms they condone and perpetuate is an infinite demand

It ended up being close to a $150,000 budget based on grants I haven’t even secured yet… like, the entire thing was pending. Whyyyy!?!?!?

Today is the feast of St Brigid. According to legend, Brigid met a nun in 7th century Ireland who had broken her vow of chastity and become pregnant. St Brigid performed a miracle when she laid hands on the woman, prayed, and induced an abortion.

Workers are each other’s allies, not each other’s competition.

At a time in which young people are disconnected, lonely, unhappy and disempowered, we need spaces for them to feel like they belong. To spend time together socially. To feel happier. And to build connections with people who aren't like them.

Youth Theatre is often required to justify its existence by the skills it offers to young people (oracy, creativity, teamwork) and the talent it develops for professional theatre.

These are useful, but I think there's something else it does that is much more important.
