So it seems possible to hoplite shoeless.

This Barry Sanders documentary on Amazon Prime is really eye-opening. It captures the moment Barry explains to his son what a fax machine is.

Any time I come across a Barry Sanders highlight, I stand and take off my hat so that I can hold it over my heart & I don’t even rise for the national anthem.

Fun fact: He would regularly squat over 600, bench over 350 and was five foot eight and weighed 200 pounds.
