We actually had plans for combat AND multiplayer, but this was way beyond the scope of a two-man crew with little prior experience
There is a trace of this ambition in form of the player's ghost (representing your high score) that you can actually run over for a little boost and an achievement :^)

Yeah, Nicolai practically recreated the method that old arcade boards used to simulate depth for our visuals!

Road Rash was the main inspiration for the music and the whole motorcycle theme, and the gameplay is a mix of classic arcade racers and modern games with permanent progression
