This is beyond perfect. George Finch, Reform leader of Warwickshire is David Brent reborn (links to Instagram) www.instagram.com/reel/DXUNlbP...
it feels quite bad that it's basically impossible to argue that much of the modern right in the west has become both entirely intellectually shallow and deeply, fundamentally morally corrupt without sounding like a tedious teenage tankie, because it is.....the factual truth
If it has such unwavering public support, why did Labour not include it in their manifesto (which would have limited the scope of opposition in the Lords)? And public support for the principle should not mean legislators give bad legislation a green light? The lack of due process was the faultline.
Including those arseholes who attached themselves to the Down Syndrome Bill, one of who now leads UKIP, eh @mumof3amigos.bsky.social
A sentence like this still brings you up short doesn’t it ‘Orbán's defeat will come as a blow to his close allies Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump’ #Hope www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/c2...
Went to see The Magic Faraway Tree. Sort of enjoyable, with the occasional painfully icky bits (the family song 🤢), some deeply inexplicable plotlines, and lacking in any real suspense. Mark Heap steals the whole film. Felt like a waste of an amazing cast and how AI films might feel soon.
One flew east, one flew west.... blogpost linking One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest at the Old Vic to direct payments, Dadaism and Angine De Poitrine. Resistance is *never* futile. makingrightsmakesense.wordpress.com/2026/04/09/o...

Vivid shadows of trees on a white building with a bright blue sky
Spring shadows on a hot day in Deptford
Went to Little Beirut with my daughter. Ate a delicious mixed shawarma wrap and fattet humous then took a walk along the Regents Canal to Little Venice and had an ice cream in the lovely sunshine. Two pints of ale in the Warwick Tavern and the tube home. Final day well spent.
I’ll say it again, it’s not #dementia
Clanger-speak.
I’m intrigued at why things like robots, AI and disease modifying drugs are roundly celebrated irrespective of evidence of real life potential, while proven innovations in relational human support are ignored at best, or get lost in a narrative which counts ‘care’ only as a growing cost
Final Planet of the Apes scene with half buried Statue of Liberty on beach.
Artemis II crew returning to Earth.
Went to see ‘The Drama’. Amazing. Now that is one original plot twist and conceit….
The Old Vic theatre
Went to see One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest at the Old Vic tonight. You should too. Was incredible.
Possibly the best tweet ever committed to the site.
Another young persons drinking establishment in London where all the bar staff refer to customers as ‘love’ as tho I’m Greenhalghes bakery in Bolton. What’s going on?
Look like Ant McPartlin’s receding father.
So earlier this year I felt really glum & decided to do a few new things to try to lift myself. One was to learn to play the Ukelele I bought in the Xmas 2020 lockdown. Tonight the group I’m with is performing at a bar in Shoreditch, including Bulletproof by La Roux. Not quite matched her quiff…
If I owned a grocer’s called Tuck Shop, I would have not have chosen this font
This recipe looks lovely and most of all its instruction to ‘de-beard’ the spring onions, which I have never heard before (tho wondering whether anyone eats them unshaven and hirsute?)
sign that says "BABY SHOES ON SALE 1 FOR $60 2 FOR $80 3 FOR $100"
hold my beer, hemingway
Have to share this at least once a year. Always struck she was maybe the Italian Cilla Black, albeit performing a song written for her by Ennio Morricone, that inspired Johnny Marr. Be patient - it’s absolutely breathtaking www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LOS...
I am so in love with these two. ‘Dual Carriageway’. Chris Morris meets Julia David meets Ali G meets Mrs Merton in a parallel universe www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/epis...
