I had a group text between myself, another mom, my daughter, and her best friend. Her friend said that her teacher instructed them to grab something sharp and hide. This went on for hours. I’ve never been in a situation before where I was so useless and helpless. There’s nothing you can do.

I got one of those “mom I’m scared” texts yesterday. It was right after my ride. I went straight to the school. This guy was apparently a huge asshole to the kids as they were searching them. They said he was walking past all the windows with his big stupid gun.

We’re normalizing kids being told to grab a sharp object and hide but providing transportation to matches is the hill we will happily die on. Cool.

Yeah, she’s doing too much. Nobody cares. Yesterday, my kids were in a four hour lockdown at their school because of a “suspicious package” (we still don’t understand what happened) and a cop nonchalantly walked past my car with an assault rifle. Kids were peeing in buckets. Great day. 🫠

I just learned there’s no parking at MetLife, but you can buy a spot at the mall of America next door for $225.

Also, NJ Transit can barely manage the people that live here who use the trains to commute into and out of New York. They break down every other day and there’s never enough during rush hour. So, I don’t know why anyone thought this was a good idea.

I nearly got stranded at that stadium in the middle of the night with my (then) ten year old after a Taylor Swift concert. I’m sure this’ll be just fine, though! 😬
