I was pleased to find a clean air exhibit at the Dante's View overlook in Death Valley NP. Unfortunately, the view at the time as hazy and didn't live up to the view shown on the exhibit. However, relieved to find that some "science" has survived the current NPS purge. #cleanair #deathvalley #nps
As per NWS. Yesterday's max temp in Fort Collins hit 91F, which set a new monthly record for max temp in March. In fact, this temp would have also been a new record for April. Prior to this week, the max temp for March in FOCO was 81F. #cowx

The current warm wx doesn't preclude getting a cold snap moving forward. Remember that a few days ago, low temps were in the single digits. On average, the last frost in Fort Collins doesn't occur until early May. The rule of thumb for the Front Range is to hold off planting until Mother's Day.

Its the last day of meteorological winter, so lets recap what I'm calling "The Year Without a Winter". The chart shows winter snowfall across No Colorado (data from CoCoRaHS). Most of FOCO received 10-12 inches of snowfall, only 50% compared to normal. Near Greeley, even less snowfall. #cowx
