Opening night of the dance production was a success! So happy to be a part of something so neat with such amazing people.

Just bought three books to read during the summer and I couldn't be more excited. โ๏ธ๐
First day back in the classroom after Spring Break. I'm exhausted due to the wind waking me up several times throughout the night and, of course, the post-Coachella traffic is horrendous.
This Monday has been a particularly icky Monday.
Lofgren has since rescinded her endorsement.
A table on Wikipedia of endorsements for sex pest ass hat Rep. Eric Swalwell, with eleven of the fifteen endorsements shown being struck out after said endorsement was rescinded.
I know, it's Wikipedia. Nevertheless, seeing the fallout presented in this way is wild. Fuck Swalwell.
Years ago, my best friend (who's German) wanted to surprise me for my birthday by sending me Milka bars in the mail. Since it was over 100ยฐF by the time they arrived, I was greeted with a mess haha.
Stocking up at World Market is the way to go. I love the hazelnut ones.
Milka is so good!!
After playing non-stop yesterday, I managed to peel myself away from Pokopia and went to the gym for a much-needed HIIT and spin session. Now, I'm enjoying an arugula salad with bell peppers, carrots, red cabbage, farro, pepitas, and sardines.
My spring break is off to a lovely start.
This game is amazing.
The last few weeks have been hectic (State testing! AP mock exams! Dance rehearsals! Current events!), so I decided to make prudent financial decisions in time for spring break. Not pictured: the digital copy of Pokopia I purchased.
I went to my first-ever dance audition today. I had fun and was myself, but struggled at times to keep up. Nevertheless, I was selected for one of the pieces!
Despite everything happening, it's important to remember the world is abundant and expressing joy remains a key form of resistance.
pulling this reflection on white silence/fear over here, too:
Btw, the artist is Andy Stone. Cool dude!
A chrome mannequin with no arms is wearing a motorcycle helmet that's decorated as a disco ball, with a reflective screen in the background.
Went on intergalactic disco adventures last night before I head back to the classroom tomorrow. ๐ชฉโจ

Impeach, convict, remove.
Hung out with my friend who co-curated an art exhibition that focused on depictions and imaginings of the Virgin Mary. Suffice it to say, it was awesome. So blessed to live in this small community that's home to so much artistic talent.

Post-cold bingo night!
Post a perfect album from the 90s that isn't nirvana, soundgarden, pearl jam, or alice in chains.

Nothing quite like ending Christmas by watching the season finale of Heated Rivalry with your sister-in-law after eating sushi and drinking copious amounts of alcohol.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a gay night! ๐๐
While it's unseasonably warm here, it is nice to be able to spend the late morning on the patio and practice my Swedish (kรคnner mig lite ringrostig) by starting this.
A field of blooming alkali goldenbush, with goldenrod flowers, bordered by poplar and mesquite trees. Desert hills can be seen in the background.
Once the surprise fog dissipated this morning, I went on a much-needed hike. The alkali goldenbush is looking mighty pretty after the rains.
A red diamond rattlesnake, positioned in a defensive stance underneath mesquite branches.
More rain in the desert today. I've been appreciating the mild weather and the frequent rain storms this past month. Compared to previous years, it actually feels like fall.
The animals have been appreciating the rain, too. Here's a red diamond rattlesnake I met on the trail a few weeks ago.
I haven't posted on here for a hot minute, but I'm hoping to change that. Hope y'all are well.
On a related note: check in on your teacher friends. It's been quite the year for us and, boy howdy, it's only the start of October.
I hate when someone unearths my pube-autograph to the world's most famous pedophile while I'm dying of cankles
Trust that California's public school system will be one of the first targets, which will mean that I'm screwed.

AP scores were released today, and there was a significant (18%) increase in my students' pass rate compared to the scores from the previous two years. No word as to how the dubious inclusion of "Stranger Faces" was scored, but I'm very proud of my students. โจ๐ง๐ผโ๐ซ
