I’m hugely excited to be in San Francisco this week for the first-ever @clickhouse.com user conference! The past three-plus years have been an incredible journey, and seeing how far the company has come in such a short amount of time is deeply rewarding.

After months of coding with LLMs, I'm going back to using my brain • albertofortin.com I've been building MVPs and SaaS products for 15 years. Let's work together on your next project.

Decent look at the effects of coding with LLMs over time, I'm sure they'll improve, but I'm not sure we will. albertofortin.com/writing/codi...

Table Slayer is now feature complete. I plan on opening it up for beta up next week, and doing a full release once I come back from vacation in mid April. It will be Open Source. Here's a demo. If you're interested in helping with the beta, sign up at tableslayer.com.

The problem with the Hornets is that we set up to shoot a 3 every single play but we’re also horrible at shooting 3s. #hornets

As one of my top 5 films, I wholeheartedly reject the idea of a labyrinth remake, but may go see it if they cut the trailer just right.

This definitely wasn't me trying to get ChatGPT to edit a post I'm not happy with.

If you see something awful on Twitter it's ok you don't have to screenshot it to make sure we all see it here as well

I wonder what Curser have up their sleeve for their next release. They must’ve know that VS Code team/Microsoft would do this.

It’s the “I think I said something very clever/insightful/deep and was disappointed that it didn’t get more traction, so I’ll try again” button.

Generally I use an icon to identify and differentiate options from one another, so having the same icon repeated may actually detract from its value rather than add to it. Have you considered that maybe you don’t need an icon for ”regular” links and that’s what acts as the differentiator?

My daughter just turned eight, I’m still useless at anything other than a basic ponytail. I bought a mannequin head to practice braiding and…

60 mins later I’m still shit. Dads send help!

Agree that it's certainly different, I'd argue that it allows us to be more aware, involved, and ultimately valuable. I feel like this is an evolution of leadership positions rather than a problem.

Eng hierarchy is weighed down by decades of what came before, slow moving, by comparison design isnt.

Children's book in Affinity Publisher

Children's book in Affinity Publisher

I managed to get this children's book I've been working on finished and to the printer's in time for Christmas.

* Based on an afternoon walk I took with the kids in Wales
* Written by me, edited for grammatical errors by ChatGPT
* Illustrated using Midjourney
* Laid out in Affinity Publisher

My problem is slightly different. I’m working on the best way to communicate the thought process and best practices of the design system to new engineers that join the company. Will probably record a video as soon as I can find the time.

I went in a little skeptical but ive witnessed much of what was mentioned in that article. The need to balance being a high performing IC while being a strategic and inspiring leader is becoming a must at tech startups during these times. It can feel overwhelming at times yet incredibly rewarding.

Great job @ridd-design.bsky.social this video hits on so many of the core skills and mindsets necessary for designers to succeed in this exciting yet challenging period.

Seems a bit reactionary and hysterical to me, none of it is untrue yet all feels a bit overstated. Things evolve, we adapt to meet new requirements, things were never as rosy as we like to think. Maybe I'm just being pragmatic and a little jaded.

Yes, That Viral LinkedIn Post You Read Was Probably AI-Generated A new analysis estimates that over half of longer English-language posts on LinkedIn are AI-generated, indicating the platform’s embrace of AI tools has been a success.

If I’m writing something that’ll be seen by others in a professional context, I do tend to run it through AI to check my grammar. I can imagine it’s incredibly useful for non-native English speakers.

Having AI write the actual content seems all kinds of wrong though

I bought my daughter a bearded dragon this weekend and now I spend my meetings wondering if it's bored and worrying that I'm not entertaining it enough in the daytime when she's at school.

I'm not a fan of the harsh, utilitarian look of the electric GT, but I guess that's personal choice, a lot of people still seem to buy the Cybertruck.
