I’m hugely excited to be in San Francisco this week for the first-ever @clickhouse.com user conference! The past three-plus years have been an incredible journey, and seeing how far the company has come in such a short amount of time is deeply rewarding.

This was so good, great idea and the 🌶️ really topped it off.
Generally I use an icon to identify and differentiate options from one another, so having the same icon repeated may actually detract from its value rather than add to it. Have you considered that maybe you don’t need an icon for ”regular” links and that’s what acts as the differentiator?

Agree that it's certainly different, I'd argue that it allows us to be more aware, involved, and ultimately valuable. I feel like this is an evolution of leadership positions rather than a problem.
Eng hierarchy is weighed down by decades of what came before, slow moving, by comparison design isnt.

I managed to get this children's book I've been working on finished and to the printer's in time for Christmas.

My problem is slightly different. I’m working on the best way to communicate the thought process and best practices of the design system to new engineers that join the company. Will probably record a video as soon as I can find the time.
I went in a little skeptical but ive witnessed much of what was mentioned in that article. The need to balance being a high performing IC while being a strategic and inspiring leader is becoming a must at tech startups during these times. It can feel overwhelming at times yet incredibly rewarding.

Seems a bit reactionary and hysterical to me, none of it is untrue yet all feels a bit overstated. Things evolve, we adapt to meet new requirements, things were never as rosy as we like to think. Maybe I'm just being pragmatic and a little jaded.
If I’m writing something that’ll be seen by others in a professional context, I do tend to run it through AI to check my grammar. I can imagine it’s incredibly useful for non-native English speakers.
Having AI write the actual content seems all kinds of wrong though
