A look at the "funeral" Mavs' fans were holding in memory of the Luka Dončić era in the Victory Park neighborhood of Dallas.

As the fans walked back towards the American Airlines Center, they chanted "N-I-C-O, Nico, Nico has to go!"

my take that i’m keeping off the bird app is that he wanted to be a laker. even then, you don’t have to agree with his wishes. you’re the general manager of the mavericks. your loyalty lies to the organization and its future.

going on nearly five hours now since the luka trade broke. still don’t understand it any more than i did at 12, and still feel just as upset and angry.

i hope i’m wrong, but nico harrison just single-handedly ruined the dallas mavericks. there is no way you sell this to your fanbase, let alone your locker room. just disgusting stuff and we need answers because none of this makes any sense.

Good win considering the white hot shooting from Portland. Missing Lively in a big way. Naji to a lesser extent. Both of them offer defensive range we just cannot duplicate. Don't get it twisted though. Winning back to backs on the road is nothing to sneeze at.

Mavs fans should take a moment to consider how things felt at this time 2 seasons ago (no Kyrie, PJ, Naji, Grimes, Lively, or Gafford).

This team just went 8-1 mostly without Luka, and without 2-3 rotation players in every other game.

Unheard of in 2022. Entirely different on-court product.

I'm very glad the Mavs pulled that game out. We had plenty to write off there. First Luka game back, 2nd night b2b, opponent shooting 60% from 3.
