The first foraged mushrooms I ever ate, probs about 6-7 years ago. A patch appeared on the grass verge at the end of our road, and they were distinctive enough with look, smell, and timing that I felt confident in identification. They've never reappeared there 😥

Some actually are, though. Laura Tobin has a degree in meteorology, and is a fellow of the Royal Meteorological Society.
