Friends are asking about Mansion lately! To clarify: it is not dead. Some event ideas are cooking. But the project evolved into a limited experience kinda' venue. When I make a new map, I'll run an event there. Maybe two. But the solo project is draining versus being on a big team at PSHQ. 🖤

What I'm curious about is whether or not these settings actually save bsky any money, or if its just poor configurations? With modern CDNs, it shouldn't be an issue. Instagram doesn't have this problem. Old ass PHP/Wordpress sites using GD don't have it. Everything I post looks double transcoded.

Place used to be BUSY on a day like today too. I'd see people coming in with dogs, etc. 3 other customers and a homeless guy that (thankfully) they let use the bathroom and helped charge his ecig. Fuck this economy. I'm supposed to only care about myself and be happy I have a job. The American way.
Interesting how once things cost just a little more they become mostly inaccessible. Used to really enjoy going for a latte and working at a busy cafe but this has now turned into a $10 thing after tax and tip. The entire time I didn't feel relaxed but guilty, sitting in a mostly empty cafe.
