I will note that you can enjoy the game without interacting much with the sandbox aspects and instead just following the story and uncovering the lore.

It is expensive though ans I buy everything pokemon, so if you don't trust the words of a Pokemon shill 🤷.

I would recommend learning at least the basics of music theory. Things like key, time signatures and chord structures.

Knowing that stuff will be incredibly helpful. You don't need to study that much either. Just a couple of YouTube videos and you'll be good.
