We delivered our first CSSF Youth Board Summit including a meeting with all staff and a workshop and tour at The Globe.
A huge part of my year was spent working with these incredible women running our final project of a 5 year arts council funded programme in HMP New Hall and sharing our work, documentary and my MA learnings. It was a complex and moving process and one I am immensely proud of.
I directed the 14-18 Young Company in the @orangetreetheatre.bsky.social Community Show Beyond the Fog and had the most fun with these young creatives
Co-Devised our latest Teacher Training for CSSF exploring how to reimagine the role of the ensemble and put them front and centre in the creation and storytelling. A team of incredible creatives went around the country to challenge, support and inspire our teachers
Was lucky enough to write the education pack for the brilliant Two Strangers Carry a Cake Across New York
I worked with students at NFTS to co-create a film exploring immigration with students from St Gabriel's College
We also launched @almeida.co.uk Creativity For Joy community workshops offering space for our community to connect and be creative with world class leading artists.
Loved being back in the schools team at @almeida.co.uk working on Unlocked and making a short piece with Central Foundation Boys School in response to King Lear exploring what we have inherited and what we want to leave behind.
In March I had the most joyful and fulfilling experience co-creating The Illusion at @bushtheatre.bsky.social in partnership with the Carers Network. Getting to create the space for this extraordinary team to tell their stories was everything. Miss this one
Was back with @donmarwarehouse.bsky.social Local and HCA co-creating an interactive piece exploring young people's experiences of youth leadership and autonomy in schools with the brilliant collaborators Rhianna Ilube, Duramaney Kamara and Alice Hallifax
In Jan I teamed up with Louie Keen to devise and deliver @donmarwarehouse.bsky.social Local Performance Programme for Macbeth, introducing local schools to the play before they came to see it. They loved the innvoative sound design and intimate performances.
Kicked off the year training an excellent new cohort or freelance staff for CSSF to deliver the festival up and down the country
