JS: A good point regarding difficult topics. In Umineko, some feel the character Maria (below, character on left) shows signs of having Asperger Syndrome. Was this your intention? R7: Regarding Maria, who appears in Umineko, I think about her as sort of like a Joker character.

This was also the interview where JS pushed Ryukishi07 to issue a definitive statement on whether or not Maria was autistic; R07 deflected the question by saying that Maria is a "Joker character"
