Can't wait to read this! When flies are coming out of a chill coma on a dissection plate (to prep for head-fixed brain imaging, for example), we sometimes saw some rhythmic "flexing" or "pulsing" of the limbs between flailing bouts. Always wondered what that was. Do you think this could be related?
