Well, turns out, draining water from any environment kills the shit in that environment and effects every environment downstream.

Oh no! That’s sad. Such a personality. I only spoke to Lou a couple of times and boothed next to him once. Genial, enthusiastic and entertainingly verbose.

Thank you Senator Chris Van Hollen for sharing US citizen Rachel Corrie’s story from the Senate floor and voting to block the destructive bulldozers that Israeli soldiers used to kill her.

Had a fun fused glass workshop with two of my sisters at Art Unlimited in Okemos. I wasn’t crazy about the color options, but everything turned out well. 🧶

A good friend of mine works at NASA, and has spent the last TEN years of his life working on the Orion CPAS (Capsule Parachute Assembly System), testing it in the deserts of Arizona.

Ten years of design & testing. For this moment.

Science is so good, y'all.

Went a little overboard with the violets this year. Violet honey, violet syrup, violet sugar, and homemade Parma Violets candy.

being a guy in a mostly woman office environment is the greatest gig in human history if they can just get over the "treat them like people" hurdle

Sincerely… NASA couldn’t have chosen a better team of people for this mission. They have been a bright light in the shadowy time here. It’s been a joy to watch.

Easter breakfast redone as Tuesday dinner due to a sick person on Sunday. My MIL makes delicious Polish white borscht, with separate bowls for blessed and unblessed items. I especially love the horseradish.

A Palestinian Might Say
BY NAOMI SHIHAB NYE
What?
You don't feel at home in your country, almost overnight?
All the simple things you cared about, maybe took for granted.. you feel insulted, invisible?
Almost as if you're not there?
But you're there.
Where before you mingled freely... appreciated people who weren't just like you...
divisions grow stronger.
That's what "chosen" and "unchosen" will do.
(Just keep your eyes on your houses and gardens.
Keep your eyes on that tree in bloom.)
Yes, a wall. Ours came later bur... who talks about how sad the land looks, marked by a massive wall?
That's not a normal shadow:
It's something else looming over your lives.

Joined a full house at Lansing’s makerspace tonight and had fun making a hideous ornament for a coworker’s retirement card. Trying to get back to my real outside-the-office life.

I’m the neighborhood weirdo outside picking violets in the rain and almost dark to make violet sugar. There are so many!

You just don't understand the very nuanced and complex dynamics of the situation, ok. It's very complicated. It's not so simple. It's a very complex situation. We need to stop virtue-signalling and start thinking about the hard choices. We can't just do what makes us feel good, ok? It's very nuanced
