Yes, I was furiously trying to get my labels generated before midnight for that reason

As far as I can see, Trump his squaring his 'America First' rhetoric with his foreign affairs policy by summarily deciding which foreign bits he wants to make American, presumably on the assumption that - hey-presto! - they then become domestic policy issues
As the UK is in a timezone several hours ahead of the US, it's about this time each day that we can start playing 'What's Trump Said Or Done Today?' ๐
Forget Oasis, my son is desperate to get to the Derby #Railway200 #greatestgathering , but having spent 4hrs unsuccessfully 'virtually' queuing for tickets, getting to the site & being kicked out, sales have been suspended until next week. Who said trains were uncool?๐
It would take a courageous Government to tackle all the distortions in the tax/benefit system so that, for example, the employer NI increase could be avoided and the funding instead obtained by savings on the benefit top up bill because employers instead pay reasonable wages. 2/2
That reveals an unintended consequence of 'tax credits' which moved from tax relief for people with children etc to direct payment of top-up credit which has in turn led to employers paying below-living-wage salaries instead expecting the state to make up the shortfall 1/2
The challenge with assets is that by selling them to realise the tax, you risk losing their future earning capacity. I'd welcome an honest debate on inheritance tax in general that wasn't simply about whether to levy or not but looked at how it worked - e.g. tax the recipient not the estate?
Testing the diorama today...
I got used to deleting nubile lady 'followers' with no posting history on 'X' who were apparently interested in an old fart who likes TV and trains. I mean, I know this is babe magnet stuff but nevertheless. Now I have just had two 'follows' from similar types here (now blocked) Beware the bots!
I've found that no notice seems to be taken of the re-delivery request on the Royal Mail website
We'll be there with the Junior MRC modular layout (which should have made significant progress since last year)
It needs both women and men to speak up to effect change. Challenging the gatekeeping/closed shop tendency needs constant vigilance and the advocacy of those inside the tent if it is to be overcome
But when we were younger we had to pay for records/tapes/CDs. The streaming model has rendered recorded music near-free, so the live performance is now the only route to generating serious income.
I'm with you on ownership being a distraction, but wow, what a distraction. It is also too common for either ownership model to be compromised, e.g. limiting a nationalised operator's opportunity to innovate or regulating a private-sector one so much that every decision is effectively a state one
Good to see it back on free-to-air TV in the UK too ๐
However, unlike most stores, they progressively mark things down until it sells. Go into the basement and there are 10p LP records there - when was the last time you saw an LP for 10p in a charity shop?
Kemble station!
Yes!
I think that's why this is his most satisfying championship, it's one where we have been able to see the driver make the difference even in less than perfect equipment in a way that only a select few in motor racing history have been able to do
Played Avanti BIngo (Will we get there? Will there be catering? Will we get seats?) to attend the NEC Model Railway show yesterday. Well worth it though, a good day out and some great layouts
Hmm, this is like nervously arriving at a party a friend of a friend told you about and standing in the corner trying to work out if you know anybody ๐
