They have always been spiritually a Utah County city and it is also *technically* true, too!

Bruh — I am DYING!
It’s game one of the first round!
Driving around southern Salt Lake County is always so trippy — like, what do these tech / investment companies that are so pervasive in the area even do?!

Everything about this confuses me.
People take their bday off of work?
Why 30?
Where would this idea even come from?
Yes, this dialog has been fascinating to read.
(I have never nor even considered taking my birthday off.)
Dallas-Fort Worth airport — interesting spot for a blood drive!
Appreciating the liminal spaces that are massive storage unit facilities.
Eva lopez didnt even show to the Salt Lake County Dem convention
Romney had similar vote share as George W Bush back in 2004.
Never too far away from Utah while at Disneyland 😂

Top 20 counties that I have moved most left from 2012 to 2024.
Incredible. #Blutah
Just got back from a quick Southern California trip — spotted this Alyssa Liu mural on Crenshaw Avenue in Gardena, California!
Guess we need to triple-pray this year… Lord knows we won’t get any action out of our Utah Legislative “leaders.”
They’ll call a special session to boot 3 trans kids off the swimming team but won’t call it for — you know — ACTUAL emergencies…
Spotted my first one of these out in the wild — over $5/gallon in Vegas 😱
Paying homage to the origin story of the place that has changed my life the most.

Found discarded on curb strip in Salt Lake City…
Figured @robertgehrke.bsky.social would get a kick out of this as he covered my initial run back with the gerrymandered maps were first unveiled.
Start at the Great Salt Lake State Park (D4), along North Temple before connecting up with Redwood Road (D1). Head up to Davis County before veering right on 500S in Bountiful (D2), link up with the Holbrook Canyon Trail and run for 10 miles, crossing over the Wasatch ridge (D3) — 40 total miles!
Running the previous gerrymandered Congressional map of Utah; 4 districts in half-an-hour without leaving Millcreek!
Planning a route with the new map — a 40 mile trek from the Great Salt Lake State Park up to the peaks of the Wasatch Mountains!
Now the new Utah Congressional map looks to be firm, I spent the better part of this weekend planning an ambitious route: how best to run through all 4 Congressional Districts!
Previously, it was easy — I could do it with a 4-mile run in about half-an-hour; with the redraw, it’s MUCH harder…
“Hydra” / “Patriot” — I think I’ve seen this Marvel movie before….
Some progressively zoomed in photos of the Kennecott Copper Mine’s Smelting Tower in Magna, Utah.
At 1,215 feet tall, it is the largest free standing structure west of the Mississippi River. Whoa!
