Lovely, Marit. Happy New Year (belated).

United are looking for a fifth consecutive away win against Wolves later today. I haven’t been to Molineux since 1976 when United came back from 2 nil down to win 3-2

We all have our cross to bear! :0)
Just been assigned my Christmas Day job list: moving furniture (having daughter, partner & children over for dinner), cooking: sprouts, sausages & pigs in blankets, starter (asparagus, Parma & cheese) and drinks service.
Thank you Marit & the same to you. Re the Turkey I suspect we’ll be getting a new oven soon! :0)
Merry Christmas Simon to you and your family.
Happy Christmas to everyone. Please get in touch with your loved ones especially those who might be living on their own. Fyi, my wife got up early today, we have a foolproof ‘cook-in-the-bag’ Turkey crown, she’s managed to incinerate it! 1st time she’s cooked one on her own! (If I had done that!)…
It’s a bit odd the sequence of events: 1) Jamie Jackson (Guardian) reports that the club has put Rashford up for sale. 2) almost simultaneously Rashford says he’s ready for a new challenge 3) Amorim says the new challenge is at Utd. Does Amorim really know what is happening? #mufc
We’ve got a very difficult run ahead of us starting today. Let’s hope the players step up as they need to.
Lots of issues granted, I do think he’s a far better manager than Ten Hag who has absolutely no idea. Amorim will be judged on results though.
I can’t see Utd getting more than a draw in the derby. Hope we can get three points but City will be very hungry and ready to rewrite the current narrative that they are finished. #mufc
Strange sub I agree.
He’s easily been our best player - he did well on that goal.
He made the 2nd goal…
I didn’t know that he talent spotted those players. He was responsible for Amad & Pellistri too? I found the Amad deal quite bizarre ref his huge fee given his lack of game time at Atalanta. Amad is on fire now - unplayable. I’d have retained Pellistri too.
Fond memories of Steve Coppell. Ps I met Sir Matt outside OT in the 70s and chatted to him briefly. He used to park his Jensen Interceptor on the OT forecourt (useless info!) :0)
We all have our lists of Utd player duds, but they are all on lucrative / crazy contracts and often times Utd have ended up paying up those contracts - read very expensive. It’s a nightmare scenario.
Ineos have gone about this quite badly. The club might not have been well ran - too many staff etc, but you are right the 1st team squad has too many unsuitable players, several need selling - that’s where the real potential savings are …
Not really unless we are playing in it :0)
We were supposed to be going too. Let us know what the concert was like…
A rule that suits the Gunners…
My only gripe is Amad should be starting in the biggest games like Arsenal away - they couldn’t cope with him.
He’s easily our best CB, I suspect Amorim would like to retain him if he can.. if he goes he’ll need replacing …
I like your short posts. Did you know that one of Amorim’s key players at Sporting Lisbon was very similar to Harry Maguire?
I’d just add that if Amorim selects these players they have to repay his faith by putting in a shift. I really wasn’t happy with any of the forwards (inc subs) other than Amad.
Also, the ref showed a lack of common sense - you keep your cards in your pocket unless you really have to use them - booking Maguire & Ugarte was harsh it potentially affected the outcome too.
Hojlund was flat footed at times too, we needed an outlet last night & he didn’t provide it. The ball was bouncing off Mount at times too. We were playing with next to nothing up front. Without Amad we look toothless.
While I agree there was a few positives (defended ok) zonal marking has to end in pref for man-to-man marking on set pieces; it could easily have been 4-0 all from corners - not acceptable. We
needed more midfield control too, we never had it. #mufc
I think you are essentially right here, on the proviso that the likes of Mount steps up and last night he didn’t - he along with Hojlund & Garnacho were Utd’s weak-links they were poor. Hojlund & Mount both got done on the near post on the 1st goal too. The rotation policy is vital imo

Lopetegui & Glasner won’t see out December in their respective jobs imo.
