Hey I don't think we can DM unless we're following each other. Are too able to follow me?
Gotcha. There's some complexity here, so if it's okay with you I might jump into your DMs where I can provide you a little more information.
Because UoA has no guidelines on payment rates for guest lectures, I was looking for reasonable information online and found this UNSW page showing casual academic pay rates.
I'm sure this is news to nobody but casual staff are MASSIVELY underpaid in NZ.

Incredible! Deceased donor organs can definitely have great results! I'm just running the math of averages in my search for a live donor.
And thanks for your comment ๐
Apologies, just want to make sure I understand the question. Are you asking if there's a register of people who would like to donate?
Kฤpiti peeps have a fabulous opportunity to send a double whammy to the current government (as well as the chance to yeet the odious prick Costley into the sun)
Vote for Sophie and party vote Green๐

You live on the Kฤpiti Coast, you're a pensioner, you remember when this was just baches for whole whฤnau and a few locals, you remember when you could buy a house on a single wage, you remember when the pipes worked, you remember when there was a local post office... you vote National
Thank you ๐ฅบ๐๐
#RailNews: Auckland Transport has shared photos and drone flyovers of the level crossing projects at Takaanini Station and Te Mahia Stations.

Te Mahia: www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7Dc...
The era of regular rail shutdowns in Auckland is almost over, phew! But train ridership has fallen in recent years, suggesting a loss of public confidence.
Now, with the CRL opening on the horizon, is Auckand Transport ready to run a proper metro timetable? Matt Lowrie tracks some worrying signs...
So we're in February now, and I'm sharing this again because getting my other half a kidney from a live donor is still my number one priority from 26. If you're in NZ and want to know more โ or just talk about it, please reach out to me. It would mean a lot.
And please share the original post ๐ฅฐ
good riddance to Minister Judith Collins, who orchestrated the present gutting of New Zealand's science funding establishment
I've not seen or heard any coverage today that mentions this tiny detail, affecting 100s of millions of public dollars and endangering NZ's entire intellectual community
Another trope I've heard a couple of times recently is that "the Greens used to be the party of environmentalism ...and they should go back to being just that"
...despite the fact we've more than doubled our number of MPs in that time ๐ค
ALSO it cannot be stated enough that whenever the Greens have spoken/do speak about the environment, we're called tree-hugging loonies who can't be taken seriously! It's almost like the rich and powerful just want to shut down any critique of the status quo ...
Truly the clip that keeps on giving
Literally thinking about this in the NZ context today, why is it always "the Greens should try to appeal to dairy farmers and people who drive Humvees" and not "NZ First should try to appeal to people who went to university and believe in human rights"
Nuremberg trials for ICE is the moderate position
Maybe youโre born with it, maybe itโs misdiagnosis ๐
life ending and infrastructure destroying floods are now an annual occurrence in new zealand. there is no political recognition of this new reality, and thus there is no resourcing for its prevention. we are not ready
I was speaking to an ex-Mayor about a decade ago who said that climate change would bankrupt Councils.
They're not wrong.
We can't keep spending millions every year fixing the same roads over and over. Something has to give.
on the other hand, just like earthquakes, climate disasters are going for growth
