It would be goofy and hard to do well if the saddle only sits a small amount higher than the bridge itself. Some guitars the saddle sticks out WAY too much. Which to me points to a poorly made guitar in the first place.

I suppose an acoustic as long as it's intonated say up to the 7th fret, how many people are shredding past that? I wonder of the feasibility of designing a drop in saddle for correction? Fit the righty slot but topography for lefty intonation.
