My kids, every night at 8pm, looking around at the chaos they’ve sown in play, dinner, bath, bed and all the complaints that come with it:

I bet Bondi was ok with one 35 year old judge in Florida cancelling the Biden era airplane mask mandate

I’d hope they’d be up more than 9-7 on Brown.

Gotta love a disease where we are slayed by stairs and the solution is juice and a cookie (squash and a biscuit?). My pre-diagnosis DKA started in the UK, thought the thirst and leg cramps were from too many real ales and walking 5-6 miles a day around London for a week. Nope. Diabetes 🤦‍♂️

Nothing like being woken up at 3:30 am by your medical device telling you you’re about to die and the solution is to go drink juice, eat a cookie, and doomscroll until the sugar kicks in. (All in all lucky for this medical technology.)

It’s apparently a problem not capable of a solution, so I’ll be quiet now.

Don’t worry guys, the military won’t follow unlawful orders 🙄

Always amazed these are like 7pm on a school night, parents are knee deep in making dinner and lunches for tomorrow and bedtimes. Seems to be a missing middle in the room.

Definitely didn’t have @peterfneronha.bsky.social showing up on Pod Save America’s morning show on my bingo card. Pleasantly surprised over my coffee today.

I’ve been on Facebook since May 2004, I signed up as soon as I got a coveted .edu address from the 5 schools it was then limited to. Used to be great. Haven’t used it in any significant way in a decade plus.

No response to 311 request from August 25. Signs still vigilante edited. This mayor changed the 311 process, website vs app, but beyond that response has gotten way worse. Not responses to requests, I don’t care if they talk to me, I mean fixing the thing.

That’s what I figured, I’ll put it in 311 now!

@sueanderbois.bsky.social just noticed the No Right on Red signs at Hope and Cypress have been spray painted over. Do you know if that’s vandalism or is the city changing the intersection and just hasn’t taken the sign down.

Whenever you talk about big guys being fashionable you tend to post the same three photos. Makes me think the sample size is not that large. Should that influence how much stock I put in your opinion? (I’m 6’2” and have at times easily been a “big guy”)

I mean, a wrecking ball is pretty big.

My son is doing his second summer of camp at the JCC in our neighborhood. He’s currently singing on a loop one of the the Israeli entries to EuroVision. It’s catchy he’s not wrong, but it took a while to try to find it online.

My method of answering a call is to stare at my phone until it stops ringing then googling the number.

The uncensored version of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off during the free for all last week of high school…I grew up with a copy my parents taped off TV, never knew there were swears. I always thought “Cameron’s car is a piece of tin,” was a pretty good line.

People are still amazed when I mention pickleball was the unanimous favorite sport in gym class rotation in my high school days…twenty five years ago. Go Big Red, Class of 2004.

My sister-in-law was born and spent the first part of her life in the Latvian SSR, so I’m an expert on the Baltics now. (Coincidentally, I spent a week in Lithuania last fall, so while I’m still no expert, I am a big fan!)

I’ve used (cleaned up) in a handful of filings. It does what it says on the tin. “Citation modified” makes me ask “how did you modify it? Is the meaning still the same? What?”

Sometimes it’s just bad luck, I get a bleeder occasionally. Less likely to bleed in the abdomen for me, which was the preferred site at least for the G6 at first release. They have rec’d FDA approval for multiple sites by now, but people have been doing arm or leg unofficially the whole time.

I think the comment you’re responding to was just commenting on the needle poke one time for each sensor. (lol one needle stick is nothing to me)

There’s a needle in the applicator, it’s what drives the filament into your skin.

It’s *so cool* that people want to join this “club” and use a CGM for fun, whereas, I am forced to monitor my blood glucose to avoid losing my vision and extremities in 40 years. (Frankly I’m lucky to have a CGM to do it…)
