Ha, it's Monkey's Birthday of course : ) .... the first 'Sculpture' CDR which I put out in 2001 shortly after attending this screening, I described as a Monkey's Breakfast of... hmm, of what I can't remember... oh my head at that time in my life (and possibly now)
A 6 hour experimental psychedelicised film, with a soundtrack spliced together from Uher and Revox tapes in the back of the truck on route... aligns with my interests
Great to see Anthony Moore's Monkey's Breakfast soundtrack issued on Paradigm Discs - David Larcher's 'road movie' is described as an unmissable spectacularist onslaught. I saw a 6am screening at the Lux in 2001. The audience was notably a mix of early birds and ppl coming in high from all nighters
Agreed, lovely to share an erratic orbit! I’m still at it with drum machines, sold an LXR02 recently to Mary ex Spacemen who straight away made way better use of it than I ever did. I never seem to keep them long.. but now I have a Vermona DRM1 and I do rly love that one. Maybe it’s for keeps
