Sent the photos to the guy that services my mower, he is optimistic that this is salvageable 🙂

Went to mow the garden this morning.
Blades weren't turning.
The belt had slipped so it wasn't engaging the blades, but also one of the blades appears to have torn through the deck, so likely need to buy a new deck.

Or I am considering upgrading to a newer mower anyway

Seems that blue sky always goes down (not in the good way) while I'm sleeping, and gets back up _ running by the time I am ready to scroll through.

One advantage to living in Australia 🙃

And lastly, here is some new art I made about collecting art. It’s screenprinted onto a nice chunky 3mm board which means it’ll stand up happily on a shelf as an ‘object’ and doesn’t require framing :)

Back on ya bike! How to keep your bicycle running smoothly and save amid the fuel crisis Basic maintenance is one of the most satisfying ways of getting to know your bike – with most basic parts costing less than a tank of fuel With fuel prices soaring and service stations running dry, you might find yourself taking a second look at that old bike gathering dust in the back of the garage. Cycling may not be a suitable replacement for all car trips but, with more than half of Australian motorists cutting down on driving due to the crisis, it’s a very handy (and very fun) tool to have in your arsenal for a quick trip to the shops, a leisurely weekend joyride or the first or last leg of your commute. Even if you don’t already own a bike, cycling can be among the cheapest modes of transport around. While many a Lycra-clad speed demon will try to convince you that the only bike worth riding is one that costs more than some new cars, older bikes are not only easier to repair, they’re also less tempting to thieves. If you scroll through Facebook Marketplace you’ll find indestructible 80s and 90s workhorses for the price of a tank of fuel – just make sure to check the frame isn’t cracked or bent. There are also volunteer-run workshops all over Australia (such as the Ceres Bike Shed in Melbourne or Cycle Re-cycle Club in Sydney) selling refurbished secondhand bikes. Continue reading...

Mine's 25 this week, still a waste of space when it comes to anything useful around the house - unless it involves emptying the fridge... He's good at that..

Woke this morning to find Amelia, our oldest chicken, had passed away overnight.

Not sure of her age, but guestimate her to be about 12 years old.
For the last few weeks she was unable to stand or feed herself, so we kept her indoors and fed her by hand.

I'd love to know how many takes they did of this because it's so utterly perfect, not just Tim's head thrown back in triumph pose, but the way the cape lands on the throne so beautifully.
