The inevitable progression of a neighborhood: from hippie dippy to cutesie wootsie to hoitie totity
This made me look mine up. The winner is Spike Jonze.
I don’t know know… maybe this is more of an ALABAMA idea…
Has anyone ever thought about how weird signatures are?
"No, see, if you just write your name neatly, we have no way of knowing what your intentions are...
...but if you write it neatly and also write it *messy*, THEN we can take you seriously!"
My fear of my children being where immigrants are walking around = 0
My fear of my children being where ICE agents are walking around = significant
Salty hot take: in his lifelong quest to “elevate” it, Wynton has done more than anyone in history to convince people that jazz is snooty and boring.

Happy 42nd Anniversary of George Michael’s heart being given away, for those who celebrate.
You know @andrewhickey.500songs.com, you drop these little factoids — like Mott the Hoople started out as Jimmy Cliff’s backup band — as if we’re just supposed to keep living our lives normally after hearing them.
Either may be what you want to convey, but they aren't interchangeable.
When you say "thank you" and I say "you're welcome", that is about YOU: "you may receive this with my compliments". When I say "no problem", that is about ME: "I am not inconvenienced by this interaction". That isn't the same thing at all.

Inconceivable.
Gosh. What would “harsh” look like?
Amazing, and I will be buying it immediately… but how come no Hapgood?
How can you help?
If you could get the f%$& out of the kitchen, that would be awesome.
Wow.
Rhythm guitar, not bass, but this makes me think of the handwritten “Where’s Izzy?” sign in the video for Guns & Roses’ “Don’t Cry”.
My Star Wars take is that the first movie is called “Star Wars”.
“Do you like piña coladas?…”
The harder it comes, the harder you fall.
When you meet someone from your hometown, you always pretend to be friends.
Maybe part of this is how uncomfortable people are with the true complexity of things. Everything that happens is at the meeting point of a literally unfathomable number of interacting factors. No story can ever be THE story.
My modest accessibility proposal: very tall people should get exit row seats without having to pay an upcharge.

Sufjan Stevens?
Why can’t you?
