“The Biggest Tramp in the World” might have misled people

The main thing I've used it for is a dish that has chickpea flour in the meatballs. Lamb meatballs in prune or apricot sauce. It's from Sephardic Cooking by Copeland Marks. Also socca, a chickpea flatbread. Haven't made either in a while, but they were good.

As the father of a middle schooler I have seen the rebellion against AI forming there — even using “that’s AI, bro,” not indicating something is literally AI, but that something is metaphorically so — it’s sus, it’s bullshit, it’s bad weird

An acquaintance of mine who died recently had her heart restarted sufficiently that organ donation was possible.

And also don't expect your child to be your confidante about a lot of adult stuff they aren't equipped to help you process.

I have been clear since the start of the appropriations process: I will not vote to give Trump’s ICE or CBP another cent without major reforms.

Tonight, Republicans forced through a bill that will continue the chaos that has left TSA, FEMA, and the Coast Guard unfunded. Read my full statement.

There are a whole bunch of reasons to turn out for #nokings tomorrow but here are maybe the top two:

1) huge turnout is a signal to republicans edging away from Trump and puts steel in Dem spines.

2) least we can do to honor bravery of Minnesotans who turned the tide

I have MANY times abandoned a perfectly good book because it wasn't what I felt like reading just then, or other reasons that had nothing to do with the book's quality.

IRS says churches may endorse political candidates despite a decades-old federal statute barring them from doing that There’s only one known instance of a church losing its tax-exempt status because it violated the Johnson Amendment, but Republicans have tried to get rid of it before.

"There’s only one known instance of a church losing its tax-exempt status because it violated the Johnson Amendment. In that case, a church in Binghamton, New York, published full-page newspaper ads criticizing Bill Clinton during his 1992 presidential campaign."

Thing is, I wouldn't actually mind about that, and of course if face lifts etc. are going to happen the surgeons should be trained (though I would prefer something like head/neck surgery or reconstruction after trauma training). It's more just not wanting THESE people getting my head.

Kind of glad I will probably be old enough when I die that no one will want to practice face-lifts on my dead head

I was thinking wait, don't farms often require a lot of water for irrigation? but that's not generally potable water. And of course you aren't supposed to deal with human sewage the way they do hog manure and so forth.
