I live in rural Texas. They don’t allow music uploads or Dow loads because of the possibility of explicit lyrics crossing their screen. They also heavily censor what you can and cannot access on their systems.
How do you upload to the device? I have several gigs of MP3 files on an external drive, but no computer (just an iPad and iPhone). Would love a way to play the digital music I paid for.

The reason general strikes work in Europe but not here is simple. American workers have no job protection and can be fired “at will”. Losing a job usually means losing health insurance. And less than half of US workers qualify for our minimal unemployment insurance benefits.
Damn, I am going to miss her! She has been such a consistent voice of common sense and justice that Trump demanded Greg Abbott gerrymander her out of office. I hope it doesn’t silence her.

In TX a drug offender must pass a drug education course before being released. The for profit prisons keep class sizes smaller than the # of inmates needing the class, often extending an inmate’s time behind bars by 6-12 months. This gives the prison owners huge profits costs taxpayers billions.
Reminder: Dinesh D’Souza is a felon convicted of US election fraud. His multiple civil defamation losses to the Parkland Elementary School victim’s families, Georgia election workers falsely accused of harvesting ballots, and his false propaganda videos prove he lies nearly as often as Trump.

I agree that corporate taxes are too low. In most states, though, gasoline taxes are the primary source of funds for road repair. So commercial businesses that use gas powered vehicles do pay towards that. Do they pay enough? I don’t know.

I have met many rock stars through my earlier career and my son’s job as a tour manager. I have only ever met a few who weren’t truly decent people. Some of them are outstanding.
I got to interview Ray and Dave Davies in 1976 when I was working for a newspaper. Lovely guys, smart & kind. They were performing at Will Rogers Auditorium in Fort Worth Texas and instead of sleeping before the show had gone to the FW Stockyards and the Kimbell Art Museum. No one recognized them.
