I'm traveling to Japan next month. Does anyone have any good recommendations for guides, photo books, or other resources with tips and tricks for Japan? (Not the typical tourist spots)

I also implemented the logic, that my collections, which have a start and end date, are displayed as small bars in the calendar and link directly to the entire collection.

After more than one month completing my 365 photo project, I felt a bit lost about how to proceed with my photography routine. I have now added a calendar view to my photo website, which I hope will encourage me to continue uploading photos on regular basis this year.

Thanks Emma! :)
I like reading and I like data visualisations. So why not convert the books I've read into stacked bar charts?
Each year has its own book stack with the books I've read. The height indicates the number of pages.
It's now part of my books subpage! 😊

soooooo cool!
and thanks for the super sweet postcard ❤️
wow, thank you Darrin!
awww thanks Marcel!
thanks for the kind words Louis!
2018 is calling: there is now a darkmode! 😎
The most enjoyable part was implementing the native view transitions. Now there are smooth transitions between the notes in the overview and detail view.
There is now a little initial css animation on page load
Over the past weeks I've polished my personal website and added some fun new details 🕺

Finished my 365 photo project for 2025 today!
I worried at first that I’d end up disliking a lot of the individual photos. Turns out the whole body of work matters more and I can’t even tell anymore which ones I didn’t like at the beginning.
Quietly proud of this.

Thank you :)
There is now a new equipment overview page that lists all the cameras and lenses used for the photos.
Including custom made illustrations. Have a look!

thanks! currently on github tbh. But thinking about adding some kind of DAM.
I have decided to create a separate website where I can collect and share my photos. Including a great new domain.
Already looking forward to adding more photos and implementing new features.

Took me a while, but I’ve now found a good solution to get my favourite subreddits into my RSS feed (in a way that actually works for me).
Here is a small blog article about the process and the solution:

I have added a map to my postcards page that shows the countries from which I have already received postcards.
New goal: collecting all countries!

Who needs a guestbook when you can also send fun postcards? 💌
I added a new feature to my personal website: you can now send me a digital postcard. Just a simple way to say hi, share a thought, or let me know where you’re visiting from.

New blog post about how (and why) I've added all my YouTube subscriptions into my RSS reader.

Thank you Anne 😊
Thanks Emma :)
There are now over 100 photos in my 365 project – time to improve the navigation!
You can now easily navigate to specific days, using a design inspired by an analog radio tuner. I’m really pleased with how it turned out! #BuildInPublic

I really like how you've added subtle movement. Treadmill, moving the standing desk down, etc. Not too distracting but adds that little bit extra.
I look forward to many more videos!
