I still don't know how to kill wild game with arrows. So I end up chasing them like a caveman until my stamina runs out, and then I chase them very slowly
Thai curry soup with rice.
It has some real kick to it. The kind that builds. A bicycle kick, if you will.
Chili dogs (no beans, for my Texas/southern buddies) w/ jalapeño queso, sour cream, onion, & chives on a Hawaiian sub roll.
Fiesta tots (my name for them - salt, pepper, cumin, cayenne, garlic/onion/chili powder, & paprika w/ a Mexican 4 cheese blend melted on top). Jalapeño popper salad.
I got this adorable little squeaker ELEVEN years ago, today!
She got special treats and presents for the occasion.

Wanted to share cuz I think it’s common as we get older to assume that the best experiences are behind us. And the truth is, there’s still so much life to live.
Still a few months left in my personal year (since my bday) - might be making novelty a goal. Give me ideas if you’re so inclined.
This little buddy is (arguably) almost as excited as I am about the changing of the seasons.
Hard not to be utterly inspired to live in the moment when witnessing the likes of this.

Wild and brown rice, cream (oatmilk based), black beans, corn, green chilis, red bell pepper, mushrooms, onions, garlic, delicata squash, romaine, iceberg, purple cabbage, carrots, avocado, a whole bunch of seasoning/spices, and a wee bit of bbq chicken.

January 20, 1988! I’m middle millennial, but an honorary elder because I spent my impoverished, traumatic childhood in Alaska, so I had the same upbringing as Gen X (‘cause AK is always at least 15 years behind w/ everything, and also they have a weird point of pride around neglect and ruggedness).

Usually breakfast for me consists of coffee & a protein shake after my walk/strength training.
This morning was a tasty break from routine.
Eggs w pepper, garlic/onion powder. Avocado. Baked beans. Spinach/spring mix. Pickled beets. Dave’s Powerseed w butter. Sriracha. Black coffee. Workout after.
Wheeew. This is good.
Spicy Thai Peanut Ginger stir fry. And a jalapeño mango Thai salad with cheesy garlic toast on the side.
I’m so happily surprised at how much growth is happening, too! An unprecedented 18 teams on the books for next year is what I hear! That’s incredible! Storm lost by four, so that was a bummer, but it was a fun game to watch.
