Ok. Understood
Mountain madness yesterday on Schiehallion, a Gaelic name that means The Faerie Hill of the Caledonians (1085m, 3553 ft, but you set off from 1150 ft)). We didn’t see the faeries, but we had a personal audience shown here with their ambassador - a most stately ptarmigan. Absolutely wiped out today!

Last year a chapter of mine was published. I wrote the chapter in 2010. Several of the contributors were dead by the time the book was published. 😀

It’s out: Folding a River
“A sweeping poetic testament to migration, memory and the fragile work of hope. These poems speak to displacement and belonging, to wounds that demand tending, and to the courage required to remake community.” www.ionabooks.com/product/fold...
Here's the podcast interview and a good transcript that Beshara Magazine did with me. It's partly about my books, but most is about growing up in the Isle of Lewis, the island's influence on my work, and what a deepening spiritual life can offer to the world.

I’ve been asking AI how it works, and without needing to get into the statistical mapping of language model word associations onto vector space, the bottom line is there is no sapient IQ in AI, but it also queries how much “intelligence” there is in what most of us mostly say!
A magnificent hidden treasure of Irish legal history - the Bechbretha ('bee-judgments') of the Brehon law manuscripts composed in the seventh century (TCD MS 1316/2 page 25)

Here’s my sharing with the folks at St Ethelburga’s Centre for Recociliation & Peace in London last June. It includes an exploration of their stained glass window with this formidable woman, the verse “O pray for the peace of Jerusalem” … towards a healing of the nations”.

Astonishing! A sign of changing times, yearning for depth? A BBC super-ranking of the best music albums of 2025 makes No. 1 Rosalia’s “Lux” (Light). She told Billboard: “Each song is inspired by the story of a [female] saint. A main theme is not fearing.”
