A scene from Cyberpunk 2077 rendered in a style of PC-98 visual novels. Anime-looking Meredith Stout is talking to V after the Flathead mission. The image is limited to 16 colours and features a large, old-fashioned UI framing the illustration.
CYBERPUNK-98
Hope I got the palette limitations right!
Yeah I was watching this video and wow this game was wild--and I think a fairly sizeable success in the UK at the time.
I could never get this game to run on my C64--but it looks like a competent Punch Out clone with a cast of extremely problematic characters.
Went down a Frank Bruno Boxing internet hole
The Trump regime wants us to get used to seeing ICE everywhere, just as the Germans in the 1930s got used to seeing the Gestapo everywhere.
Yeah we did the XENOTILT localization before this was commonplace. I've had very good experiences with the company I use, but on a new project I'll need to somehow check at lest a few of the translations with a proofreader to be sure.
What I learned from hiring an external localization company is that there's localization but also LocQA--the LocQA process is more expensive because it requires the translators to play the game a lot to get the context. If you don't do that, you'll end up with lower quality translation.
I thought this day would never come...
If the estimates were right, there were about 9 million people at No Kings rallies today.
That would mean this protest was THIRTY TIMES AS LARGE AS THE TEA PARTY PROTEST which we were told, over and over again, was a massively important sign that US politics had shifted dramatically to the right
Yep! Ghost Manor! I had the same one. youtu.be/Zd1wiRyBWcY?... Neither game was very good, but I was like hey I got 2 for the price of 1 and suffered through playing both of them for HOURS.
Before Cairn, there was SPIKE'S PEAK: youtu.be/7vJB2xkqxo0?...
LOL youtu.be/NhUddRLDIh8?...
Imagine if people like this had the same energy for literally anything that actually mattered
Maybe he means gravy boats.
Woah! Now if I can only get my dream Stanley the Bugman cameo.

I wish they'd just make a Switch 2 version that supports mouse mode.
They just set the stage for Trump's $230m payment which will happen next.
Just to be very clear: The Trump DOJ is stealing $1.2 million of your money to gift one of Trump’s cronies, who pled guilty to the crimes he was charged with, and whose suit against the government had already been tossed by a judge.
It's wild that you can plead guilty and then get a payment for somehow being wrongly prosecuted?
But actually Final Assault was the first thing I thought of when I saw this game: youtu.be/5J_vMnfn2o4?...
Before Cairn there was Alpiner--the Cairn of the early 1980s. youtu.be/nSXKV16QvtE?... The only game liked on my friend's TI/99 4A.
Also, the software lineup is decent IMHO. Donkey Kong Bonanza is worth the price of admission—plus, the overall smoother Switch experience. But they need to get more devkits out pronto.
Yeah I think it's time for a nice co-op dungeon crawl, especially with the emergence of 'friendslop'.
Yeah I just got that Sundaria one in the Steam Sale. It's funny that the Dark Alliance I and II remasters are still available but the remake didn't survive.
It's kind of wild to me that there's no couch co-op dungeon crawlers. None that I can find, at least. I totally forgot WotC made that horrible Dark Alliance remake that was delisted like 2 years ago shortly after it was released.
