While we may not know what the final version is going to end up like, but personally, I think they could've just kept the original mother-son story and they could've made the Hailee Steinfeld-voiced character be more like the guide/mentor/best friend/older sister figure to the main boy protagonist.

It's hard to make any kind of story, let alone an animated one, whether it be a film or a show. The least anyone can do is show respect to the people who make them.

*sigh* who knew that revealing a simple plot and character designs would be enough to piss the Internet off? Hexed hasn’t even released a trailer and already, animators are facing harassment. The Disney haters have reached a new low. Like the “fans”, Nobody hates animation more than them.

To top it off, people are now complaining about the main protagonist now being a girl and the director change (one of them Co-Directed Wish, and we all know how that one went through). Personally, we don't know what's going to happen next, but I wanted Disney Animation to make more original movies.

I am not surprised that the Disney Hate has now reached a new low that they are straight-up harassing animators who worked on a movie that, at most, just recently only showed what the main chatacters look like and who they’re voiced by.
