I feel like there's a lot more I can say on this and I'll probably just do notes post with text if I go deeper into it, but just wanted to let you know I'm totally interested in this discussion and I think it's valid to have!
we hit a certain age ourselves, they are off-limits to "play with". If I make it a point to state that canonically high school characters are now in a college/adult AU and have grown a little, does that still seem skeevy?
inherently child-like and I think it's hard to show sides of that character without feeling like you're just, like, putting bigger boobs on a character.
I will say, I think it's a little unfair that we can love these characters and grow with them -- even in age, and surpass them -- but once --
OC character. If a character is like, idk 15-17 canonically, a couple things I keep in mind are: how was the series timeline? Did the character age up in any way?
I will admit, I'm not a fan of aging up a character that's less than like, 10 years old, just because their traits are most likely --
I think this line can get especially blurry and is on a case by case basis, which means there's a lot of nuance to it.
For me, characters are like dolls that I play with. Some dolls have fun character traits and dynamics with others that I enjoy, and I don't feel a desire to just make a brand --
