Bisk (a spider crab from Splatoon) and Crusty Sean (a prawn from Splatoon) appear to be bantering with each other. Crusty Sean pokes Bisk playfully as Bisk stands contentedly with a drink.

Meet Mario's Potential Party! Goompa Joins Mario as a follower in the finished game, but has a lot of data referencing being a full partner. He even has four cut moves: One-Man Fool, Mumble, Lecture, and Awaken. Goombaria The unused partner closest to being implemented, she even has an unused partner list entry. Sadly, she has no known abilities. Twink Normally Peach's partner, but has an unused entry in Mario's partner list. Seen in pre-release screenshots. Ordinary Koopa Likely replaced by Kooper. In a test room in the finished game, used as partner placeholder. Bandit Only the species is known. Ninji Boy Nothing is known about Ninji Boy except the line "HE CAN LOWER THE BLOCK", which was presumably his ability. Five colored Ninji sprites are unused in the code, one of them could have been him. Chain Chomp Only the species is known. Curiously, a Chain Chomp partner was planned for Paper Mario: Sticker Star, but also cut. Red The most mysterious partner, only his name レッド ("Red" in English in katakana) is given. The only character referred to as such in the finished Japanese text is Red Ninjakoopa, so unless the character was entirely original, it could have been him. In Paper Mario, Mario has 8 partners. However, there are enough unused and scrapped partners referenced in the game's files to make another full party. Here is a glimpse of an alternate reality with all of Mario's potential partners.

In Super Mario Maker 2, if a Goomba exits water while touching a slope, it will become glitched and be imbued with immense speed.

An unexpected beginning to our exploration of the Colorado Plateau! 1-2" of torrential rain and quarter-sized hail. At the Sweeney Granite Mtns Preserve in the Mojave Desert.
Did you know you can drive to bottom of the Grand Canyon? It's possible in one place, in Diamond Creek. It's a bumpy road in places, but we had the canyon to ourselves!
A old tree reaches dead branches towards the sky. Red rocks and clay in the foreground. The buttes and cliffs of Grand Canyon beyond. All under a blue sky with scattered clouds in the distance.
On an amazing geology field trip of the Colorado Plateau with @geotripper.bsky.social and the other students of Modesto Junior College. Yesterday some of us hiked down to Cedar Ridge on the South Kiabab trail in Grand Canyon. Awesome!

Overlook of a crater like geologic feature. Red rock walls and a central hill of blue grey clay like material. A blue sky with scattered clouds above.
Enigmatic Upheaval Dome in Canyonlands National Park, roots of a Jurassic impact crater or unusual salt dome? I believe the latest research is pointing towards an impact as more likely. On the road with @geotripper.bsky.social and the other students of Modesto Junior College.
