Found an old clip where I used our newly minted scripted event system for the first time.

Ayo, my colleagues are outta control
Aw, missed it! Is there a discord role or something that gets pinged for these? The level looks really cool btw!
Also did a super quick test flipping with spacebar instead of an unlocked mouse. Absolutely terrible but kind of addicting
OK IT'S REALLY FUN TO DO FLIPS THO

Do you mind if I ask how you did your flip at the end? Is it a button press?
Complete blue glass bottle in the shape of a wild boar, probably used for perfume or scented oils.
And here he is in close up. Absolutely divine. Complete too, which is rare for Roman glass finds that turn up in the Thames. The Romans thrived in modern day Cologne, a great trade & economic hub thanks to the River Rhine.
a picture of a cardboard boar mask that has ink markings, eyelashes and white paper stripes that cover its snout
that same boar mask but being worn now by a person wearing a black knit sweater
she's done!
I only had 48 hours to crank this out and I'm pretty sure she's going to lose a tusk at the carnival today but I'm so pleased with how she looks for a first mask ๐ค
Was worried peak overshadowed this game but it seems fun and has lots of it's own flavour
The choice is jump earlier for more vertical range, or stay on the wall for more horizontal range. The tic tac jump becomes even stronger on sloped surfaces, the shallower the slope, the more jump strength. A tic tac is a real parkour move, no extra jump height irl but I hope it's intuitive :D
So, to compensate: when you wallrun then quickly jump you perform a "tic tac" with high vertical jump strength. If you stay on the wall for longer, the extra jump strength goes away. Hopefully, this encourages people to chain different moves whilst making the wallrun strong if you use it smartly!
Playtesters kept trying to reach ledges by wallrunning and then jumping. But it wouldn't work because the wallrun jump just wasn't that strong. We had incrementally nerfed the wallrun to encourage people to chain moves instead of only relying on wallruns, the weak jump was an annoying result of that
Some thoughts on wallrunning, sloped walls, and tic tacs!
I wanted to revisit wallrunning on sloped walls. You can now wallrun 'better' on a sloped wall because you run in a taller arc. Jumping off a sloped wall is pretty strong because of how tic tacs work!

I have been meaning to make some in-engine documentation but I kept getting sidetracked.
Anyway, I made something quick and simple because it's handy for going from blockout -> decor and for some reason the artists can't read my mind!!?!
I hope @rystorm.com is proud.
Yes pls :D
Didn't realise you were working on an ai course, would be very curious
Thanks!!
Been struggling a lot with this level but it's finally starting to click!
So with this stylish clip, I feel this part of the blockout has passed the vibe check :D

Valid suggestion! We wanna change it coz it's temporary rn, usually I have its opacity set to 50%
The barebones version we made in a day. Holograms are cooool
You need to turn it on once before you can use it tho. The room for it ended up looking very white knuckle, mostly because it's a tall cylinder.
There is winding path that goes upwards but people have been making their own shortcuts to climb up and it's really fun to see.
We jammed out a level for a custom map loader! It uses a gltf importer so we don't have to make a level editor for the community.
Prototypey, but it's cool that people can test out their own maps if they want. It will also convert named objects to game entities! #indiedev #indiegames
Looks badass when Kim is fighting. I found out from a vid of Harry fighting and it was hilarious
