So you have storylines about fear of rejection or jealousy or mourning loss, and the severity gradually increases over the plot, but you work through the arc and come to an earned resolution. Not that it's especially remarkable at it, just that working through feelings naturally comes with healing

I just bought it on Steam like 30 minutes ago because of hearing they were losing the distribution license for it, I always wanted to play through it but I keep thinking "Oh this would be fun to play with friends" but it never comes up
Besides all the story stuff, they handle the dual screen stuff surprisingly really well, and give you a lot of control over it, it's a super good port imo
Honestly, one benefit to art is being able to indulge in specific emotions that you might feel are neglected in you, but adulthood is full of complicated feelings. Stuff like Battle Network and Star Force are great for modeling more straightforward feelings and confronting those in a comfortable way
Been playing Mega Man Star Force 1 bit by bit, I think it might suffer in comparison to Battle Network, but not as much as I remember. It feels a bit streamlined, but it (and most shonen stuff) is great for generally keeping a light tone, being pretty optimistic, but also taking its stakes seriously

I don't think that's it, since I've never met a lazy game developer in my life. If I'm gonna assume it's not for nefarious purposes, my guesses would be either to characterize your protagonist or to keep you engaged with the plot by giving you some way to interact. What do you think?
By the time you hit Ultra Ball, everyone's got a few core strategies and you're all trying to figure out how to position each other into prime position for you to spring that trap
I think in Poke Ball Rank, you can kind of just do whatever, you barely need to even look at the other team. In Great Ball Rank, you need to see what the other team is using and try to predict what you can go with that'll be strong against that, but it's still possible to brute force it a bit
Assuming that they're not doing it for the explicit purpose of pissing you off, why do you think they do it?

Climbing the singles ladder 'cause it's easier than duos when you've got like no team. Easy enough to just build bread and butter staples, take a few inevitable losses that you can't really prep for in 3v3, but generally take more wins overall

I think there's a lot of high-mindedness in the How to Win Friends and Influence People type of self-help, but the real secret to winning people over is just let them tell you things you already know and, when they tell you a story, listen for who their enemy is and be like "Why'd they do that??"
"joy is resistance" is for black people facing government brutality. palestinians experiencing genocide. latinos living in fear of ice. iranians experiencing western aggression.
not you, sitting at your pc telling yourself to have some ice cream to feel better while your government kills people.
