Just had a cat randomly walk into my house. He (she?) ran off when I stood up to introduce myself.

Ok, I found 5 ticks on myself so far. I think they’re need to take a break from me and bother someone else. Maybe 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, Washington, D.C.? I’m sure there are some lonely souls there who could use some friends.

One of my recent internet searches was, “where do pine nuts come from.” I was 99% certain they are seeds that come from pine cones (they are), but my mom said they weren’t. So, yeah, I pulled out my phone in a family lunch at a pizza place Sunday to prove it.

Thinking about all the times my waterbed would leak, and my mom and I would put patches on the bladder to “fix” the problem and this wasn’t considered weird. Nor was it viewed as weird that waterbeds had bladders. 1980s were wild!

Walked in a wooded area today. Pulled three ticks off my dog, and three off of myself. Only one of the ticks was able to bite either of us. So, will be checking my left butt cheek for a bullseye rash for the next couple weeks.

I hate adulting. I now have to pay for pest control. Damn ants!

Getting hit with a thunderstorm at the moment, but most of the day was only slightly cloudy and a very mild temperature. I was able to leave the patio door open, and Ghani was able to go in and out as she wished while I worked. We also took several walks.

I mean, they want to use religion to justify everything, let’s make the game harder.

The next time someone says, “Democrats are demonic,” I feel like any Democrat who hears it should go up to the person, show them the pic with Trump dressed as Jesus, and say, “So, you cool with this, then? Because this is your guy. No one on our side has done this.”

Oh, there’s also TN Thanksgiving 2.0, which was everyone connected to my maternal side that went to Tennessee for Thanksgiving. The 1.0 group didn’t have me in it.

I think it may be because we typically don’t do a lot of campaign work until after the primary, so we aren’t as pushy as the GOP this time of year because most of our offices only have one person running. But, we aren’t hiding, and it’s not that hard to find us.

I don’t think it’s lack of communication, so much as lack of interest from folks who assume we don’t exist.

Update: vomited last night because of the antibiotic, which also caused a headache. And the two vaccines made finding a comfortable position last night impossible because the arm pain spread to my neck and both shoulders.

This was given at my doctors office, and he approved it, so I am assuming those to were ok. I’ve heard you can double up if you get them at the same time, but if you get one on one day, and want a second of something else later, you have to wait.

Discoveries of the day:
UTIs can cause elevated blood pressure.
Getting a shingles and pneumococcal vaccine on the same day will cause severe arm pain.
Today has been not fun for me, as I got those shots at my appointment for the UTI.

I mean, he doesn’t move very fast on account of his age and health, and could probably be convinced to just enter a jail cell if you gave him a promise of KFC or hamburders (or, however he spelled it).

Look, I’m just saying, if another country wants to try to do a regime change here in the US, a large number of folks would probably be ok with it.

Kill them, not kill then, but you get what I’m saying, right? I kept my perennials alive.

I cooked fish in the steamer tray of my rice cooker while also cooking rice for dinner. And had a side of veggies. Being all fancy pants and healthy over here.

Random fact about the state of Indiana. There is a town called Uranus, and they have a fudge shop, so you can see signs saying things like, “The best fudge comes from Uranus,” as you drive along I-70 in the eastern part of Indiana.

I don’t know, man, I still think we need to remind everyone that Kristi Noem is a sack of trash for killing a puppy. That bothers me more than her husband’s activities.

Today I had to block someone from my candidate FB page, but he’s not in my county, so not someone I need to engage with. Just a man in need of mental health services who refuses to seek them out.

I have basically been sober since March 24, 2025. I say basically, because I had a couple small sips once or twice after, but immediately realized I hated the taste, so didn’t do more than a small sip on a couple of occasions.

Mine would just lay on top of it as though expecting someone to take it from him. I always had to explain that, a- I gave it to him, b- I was the only other one there, other than him, and c- it has no effect on me, so I don’t use it for a high.
