the saddest thing is when cis people learn Celeste is a "trans game" and feel cheated or like it has lost value to them. What a depressing view of art and the world

A video game I wrote decades ago comes to Nintendo Switch and Steam.

A crime mystery set in 100 years before Xenosaga Episode I when Ziggurat 9 (Ziggy) was still a human known as Jan Sauer. He investigates the incident that eventually leads him to want to become a 100% machine.

For UFO 50 players on Nintendo Switch, the latest update (v1.9), which adds Japanese, also includes a number of fixes and optimizations for existing players.

The notes for Steam Patch v1.8.35 also cover the majority of these improvements on Switch:

UFO 50 hits Japan today! This was a pretty huge undertaking given there were several dozen games to localize but the team did an amazing job and the Japanese version looks awesome. Big 💙 to @mossmouth.bsky.social and @perryjon.bsky.social and everyone who worked to make the JP release a reality!

25 years since Animal Crossing released in Japan (and almost 26 since they first shared info on it in English at Spaceworld)

15x20ish screen rooms old game colorful dungeon of tile squares, lots of greens and blues and orange areas, parts resemble a big face or boat or dragon but it's mostly mazes, zig zags and floating platforming. at the top left is a little above ground area showing castle in background and family house down the road a bit from the dungeon ground entrance.

He fucked it up in less than a day. The man’s a titanic loser who can’t do anything worthwhile. Just a dumb racist poster, really.

BTW this level is incredible. I got to the last segment and ran out of lives but I will be returning tonight for another attempt. Whoever came up with the invisibility power-up needs to be locked up, but whatever, I'm gonna get that flag

This man was an icon, his games were legendary at the arcades, the NES, conversions on home computers, etc. He influenced countless game designers and deserved so much more recognition. My condolences to his family and Technos colleagues.

I mean, I hope it’s what he meant!

Oh my god TIL he directed Superstars and Wrestlefest on top of making Double Dragon and Kunio-kun? What a huge loss. RIP to a legend

I hope there’s not a Final-Final-Final level in SMB Wonder because the Final-Final one is stressful enough

Finally watched this after waiting so long for it - no Japan release, so we bought it on US iTunes (or whatever it’s called now). Somehow it lived up to the hype - loved every minute of it 💙

Hah! We bought some tonight and are about to try it ourselves. Hope you all enjoyed it! 😄

Finally got around to playing through SMB Wonder. Amazing level designs and creativity, felt like a big leap over NSMBU. Great music too?? Thematically I might've preferred a bit more cohesion but then I think the insane variety is also part of the charm, so IDK. Overall a really, really good game
