Mazloum about these developments, including reports that the Syrian government is violating the recent ceasefire agreement, including in Kobani. As a close partner of ours and the tip of the spear in the fight against ISIS, we have an obligation to ensure that the SDF is treated fairly. The U.S. should immediately demand that the Syrian government comply with the ceasefire and not attack predominantly Kurdish areas. It is imperative that the U.S. work to get both parties back to the negotiating table before the current ceasefire expires to finalize a fair agreement that fully integrates the SDF into the Syrian government.”

I just got off the phone with General Mazloum, head of the SDF.

The U.S. must demand the Syrian govt immediately comply with the ceasefire.

The SDF has been our chief partner in the fight against ISIS & we must ensure they're treated fairly in the ongoing integration process.

Renee Nicole Good was 37. She was murdered by an ICE agent in the street in broad daylight. What really happened to her will not be forgotten, minimized, or ignored.

i think it is ok to reiterate that the victim as a us citizen. yes, noncitizens are equally entitled to human rights. but also, it's important to illustrate how ice isn't about immigration at all

Here’s some things that can be done by a party out of power

- file impeachment articles every day in the House

- withhold unanimous consent in the senate and filibuster every nominee

- be everywhere with comms saying this is lawless and impeachable

the most concerning thing about them justifying murdering an obviously completely innocent murder by ICE is if they can justify and defend this, there’s nothing that’s too far for them. anything you can imagine them doing is very likely something they’ll stand behind

A friend in Minneapolis just sent me this video. Looks like thousands have come together for a vigil after an ICE agent shot and killed 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good. This was my neighborhood for several years before coming to Portland.

"We have a six-year-old at school," she says, almost unable to breathe, as a chaotic scene in which federal officers prevented at least one doctor who was on the scene from assisting the shot victim unfolds. "We're new here," the distraught woman says in despair.

You and your wife drop your 6-year-old off at school. You just moved here. You see ICE terrorizing your new neighbors. You film them, as is your legal right. Your wife complies with orders. She is then shot in the head. You still have to pick up your child later today.
