London car supermarket Cargiant to close within days Cargiant will close after its directors concluded the used car supermarket, owned by billionnaire Geoff Warren, is no longer commercially sustainable.

Crikey. A lot has happened since 2019, when its boss said, "Cargiant is a hugely important and thriving business and we have significant plans to grow our car processing plant, creating many hundreds more highly skilled jobs."

Spent the day on two wheels testing Piaggio products, namely the Aprilia Tuareg Rally and Tuono 457, and Moto Guzzi V85 and V100. All very impressive machines but the V100 made the biggest impact - meaty 90deg V-twin with huge character, loads of tech and neat engineering.

I'm in Naxos. Asked to use the jet wash at the Shell garage on my hire car and the attendant did it himself, but it involved nothing more than using the jet washer to hose it down. No shampoo or scrubbing. Not surprised many cars here end up looking like this (and no, this was not my hire car).

This is such a fun car to drive on track. You can lean on it so hard, with confidence. Lovely manual gearchange, smooth power delivery and more grip than you think, which encourages you to push harder. Ace experience.

In the background there is Klis Fortress, which was used as the location for Meereen in Game of Thrones. Couldn't see the great pyramid, weirdly. No dragons, either.
