I agree. And like I said, I do think it’s important to be prepared. AND I think is important to remember that not too long ago, the scarcity mentality harmed people because people panicked and bought more than their fair share.

“buy lots of…” “anything you can…” “buy before…” all phrases meant to create fear and panic. Language used to appeal to primal fear (amygdala) as opposed to equity, planning, logic (prefrontal cortex) Just saying this type of language isn’t new. It wasn’t helpful before it’s not going to be now.

I hear you but also… people hoarded TP 🧻 during the pandemic and it created an unnecessary shortage. I don’t feel like it’s productive to create a hoarding mentality. Be prepared yes, but not disproportionately to your family’s needs.
