Take a look at the CNN sourcing and fact-checking on their Swalwell article. Look at how many extra people they contacted in order to corroborate claims. They viewed screenshots, called parents/husbands/friends/colleagues. They viewed TV footage and interviews, & more. Two things worth pointing out:

Anyway, it’s been a solid year or so now of this student writing the date day first, and I’m pretty sure it’s because of that one time my former coworker got really irritated about it.

I did have to draw the line at Roman numerals, though.

One of my students likes to write dates on his work with the day first, and last year I had to intervene when one of the other paras was arguing with the student that he was writing the date wrong.

Me: “He KNOWS how we write dates, just let him do it how he wants.”

How could you say no

The school district I work in has a program at some of our high schools that is meant to support teen parents so they can graduate. It used to be at all of the high schools, but they had to make cuts to the program because it turns out having access to contraception led to a decline in enrollment 😌
