no signs of infection other than the pain and it was there on day one. to be fair, it was a difficult extraction and i have a lot of stitches. dentist says it's normal for now

it's day four and the tooth extraction "site" is still throbbing. first time that i'm using pain killers over several days. my heart goes out to all who suffer chronic pains #dentaltales

:( and that at a place, where people mostly enter the field out of an idealistic wish to help others. makes you wonder what changes them so much along the way

the author made good on his promise and is providing his books via PayHip now (i've checked and they are not an evil company... yet ;)
payhip.com/PJFitzsimmons

it is more important than ever to support authors who take steps to free themselves from amazon & co

Onyx Boox e-reader showing the book cover of the new Anty Boisjoly mystery "Massacre at Market Middling". A funny mystery series full of puns and funny banter. If you ever wondered what it would be like if P.G. Wodehouse wrote mysteries

it's a good day when a new Anty Boisjoly book is released. sadly, it is only available on amazon, but the author assures me that the books will be available on other platforms too.
all the books in the series have a 4+ grading on Goodreads and i can confirm that all of them were very funny #booksky

the little task of verifying a graphic in one of my slides turned into a quest to understand where the graphic came from and where it was used since, covering 14 papers i now have to read/skim over. no regrets #edusky #academicsky
