Positives from the #barnsley game last night:

1) one game less until this awful season is over
2) much easier to park/no queues when there’s only 6,000 rattling around in there
3) MDG gives me hope that, despite pushing 40 with a fucked up ankle, there’s still a chance for me yet

Trump and Vance proving what everybody knew all along (including those supporters in his own administration, even if they’d never admit it publicly); neither possess the geopolitical or diplomatic skills required for the job. Trump is embarrassingly thin-skinned. Can’t believe what I’ve just watched

Surprised by them, fancied them to be sniffing the playoffs these season but I’ve seen them twice and they’ve been awful both times

Wasn’t a vintage performance today by #barnsley but good day out overall, I thought we defended well and were good value for the win. Looked so much more solid at the back with Roberts in the team. Still think playoffs have gone but just nice to have the winning feeling again 😁

He makes some really odd, frustrating decisions and sometimes it’s difficult to defend him. Ultimately though it feels like sacking managers every time won’t solve the underlying issues so I’m for him staying in his job. Thought Collins was sacked too early as well tbh

Jesus, so grim yet again at Oakwell. Season in tatters, looking forward to it being over tbh it’s been a tough watch. Feels like a club that’s gonna be stuck at this level for a long time… #barnsley

Actually I didn’t think our fans voiced as much concern as I expected, I’ve been going to away games for a long time and it’s the quietest away end I can remember. Feels like apathy is taking over the fanbase, sadly. Good write up of the game 👍

Cracking game today, decent atmosphere and a great 3 points. Credit where it’s due, never saw us getting 9 points from those three Christmas games especially after the Orient game but it’s been three really good performances #barnsley

Well I’ve seen some dogshit performances by #barnsley over the years but that’s up there with the worst. One of the poorest defensive units I ever remember us having, we looked like we’d concede from every set piece today. Grim

Can’t criticise #barnsley too much for the performance yesterday as I thought we played well until the red card and could have easily got something from the game. Scary lack of quality on the bench again though, several players who would get nowhere near the bench for any of the other top L1 teams

Wow what a dull, lifeless performance that was. How does a player get that long on the ball to pick out the bottom corner, where’s the midfield? Bang average team going nowhere unfortunately

Was at Oakwell yesterday, obviously we deserved to win but sometimes it just isn’t your day. What really winds me up is the overall experience. Bars/food places closed in the East Stand, huge queues for the few bars that were, everything closed by extra time. No wonder folk don’t wanna come anymore
