DM me your email if you’re interested in doing a flash nonfiction workshop series with me! The time has come and I’m starting my own damn business! Shares and support welcome 💕

We're still working hard behind the scenes at trampset. I can't give you a timeframe of when we'll reopen to subs b/c the archive is taking much longer than we anticipated, but that day will come, I'd guess early summer.
Thanks so much for reading, June! Glad you enjoyed it 🥰
Thrilled to have a new story 'Matryoshka' up at @fracturedlit.bsky.social! Thank you @tommydeanwriter.bsky.social for giving this one a home. 🪆⚡

If you were into @identitytheory.bsky.social’s March Equinox micro issue, send us something to read! We are always open for micro subs and are reading for the June Solstice issue now.
And if you haven’t read our latest yet, what are you waiting for??
Hello. I have a new story up at Ghost Parachute. Thanks, @brettpribble.bsky.social, for giving my work space in this terrific issue!
Congratulations to you both! 🥂🎊
if you’re trying to “save time” as a writer by using AI, i suggest you find another profession. it takes time to write well, time to write exciting books. it takes time to write one good poem. i’ve spent years on a single poem. the time spent learning one’s craft is everything
I'm looking for readers for both
@fracturedlit.bsky.social & @unchartedmag.bsky.social
It's a laidback way to get involved with a literary magazine, and it will help level up your writing! We ask for 2-4 hours of volunteer reading each week, but I'm flexible with vacations and other commitments.
I'm still doing a GoFundMe to help my parents rebuild after a devastating house fire. The costs of doing so, with an uninsured house, are extremely high. My parents are elderly and low-income and my disabled brother lives with them. I deeply appreciate shares of this link!

[I am gonna use as many em dashes as I bloody want because nobody can take any tool of writing away from me.]

Tania’s workshops are brilliantly inspiring. Scared or not, she'll help you conjure up some wonderful stuff.
So true! 🫣😍
I regularly see people wondering how it's possible that there are so many musicians and writers and film makers and artists from a tiny nation like Iceland.
And the answer is really simple: State funding for art education and artists. I literally get a salary from the government to write books.

A few days left...well it would be rude not to jump onto the couch / chair / cushions / sacred circle etc

On January 24th, my parents home burned down. They and my disabled brother escaped with only minor burns but they lost everything they've ever had.
I'm running a GoFundMe to help them recover and rebuild. I would be deeply grateful for any donations but also for any shares!
We're reopening submissions at Gone Lawn. Same old thing, you know what we like & you've got it.
& as always (not to be judged!), please consider a donation to keep a struggling mag afloat, if you can. Bad times, bad times.
And come the next full moon, dance under it!

I'm sorry. As a technology writer, I'm supposed to be telling you that this bet will some day pay off, because one day we will have shoveled so many words into the word-guessing program that it wakes up and learns how to actually do the jobs it is failing spectacularly at today. This is a proposition akin to the idea that if we keep breeding horses to run faster and faster, one of them will give birth to a locomotive. Humans possess intelligence, and machines do not. The difference between a human and a word-guessing program isn't how many words the human knows. I'm sorry. I know that when we talk about "digital sovereignty," we're obliged to talk about how we can build more data-centres that we can fill up with money-losing chips from American silicon monopolists in the hopes of destroying as many jobs as possible while blowing through our clean energy goals and enshittifying as much of our potable water as possible.

The cover of Every Galaxy a Circle. It's pinks and greens surrounding planet like objects
My book, Every Galaxy a Circle, comes out tomorrow. For each like I will tell a random fact about the book. I cannot guarantee they will be interesting.

I'm suspicious of those who don't aim to haunt a bookshop or a library. If the afterlife isn't the point you tackle the eternal 'to be read' pile I'm not sure we can ever call ourselves friends. If I am not allowed to read as a ghost there will be much trouble. – #DAKilroy #Books
I'm starting the week with Clear, by Carys Davies.
