'The costs we’re seeing today are also the result of decades of underinvestment' This cost crisis is happening because of Trump’s senseless and illegal war on Iran

Older residents who once relied on regular bus services, axed by Stagecoach after County Council funding cuts, have been forced back into their cars, only to be hit by soaring petrol prices.

The National Liberal Club being on The Apprentice is the most coverage the Lib Dems have had on the BBC in a while

Orbán's electoral crushing is a far greater achievement than most people outside Hungary realise.

He systemically consolidated power for 16 years, fixed the electoral map, abused govt power for political purposes & censored media.

The hurdles that Hungarians overcame for this moment were immense.

One thing I’ve noticed an explosion of recently is “No Cold Caller” signs including “No Canvassers”, which is quite sad.

Labour leaflet in Wandsworth claims to have delivered “cleaner streets”. They do know that residents leave their house and see piles of litter daily!

I used to write the WaPo editorials on US-Africa policy, as well on as human rights and politics on the continent.

To describe hundreds of thousands of deaths on the continent as “messy” is an absolute abomination.

Train etiquette is out the window. Two younger people are taking up four seats; one has shoes on the seat. Someone asked to sit down as they were standing and they refused.

Can the BBC just not uncritically post Yorkshire Water’s press releases (and says a lot that Yorkshire Water think dumping sewage 1,000 times *per week* is something to be proud of)

Candidate for Mayor of Hampshire suspended over 'Islamists on horseback' comment Reform's candidate for Mayor of Hampshire and Solent has been suspended after describing Jewish people as "Islamists on horseback".

Glad that action has finally been taken to remove this man as the Reform Party’s mayoral candidate for Hampshire. He should never have been selected in the first place. Antisemitism has no place in our society. Reform need to review their vetting procedures www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/2596352...

I’ve spent my entire adult life campaigning for the Lib Dems, and even they seem to have cooled on wanting people like me to vote for them. What’s the point in spending six years of my life at university if not even the Lib Dems want me!

One thing I find depressing about politics at the moment is that – as an educated, middle class 27 year old with socially liberal views – all the political parties are not only not trying to win my vote, but seem like they’d be a bit embarrassed if I did vote for them.
