so just in case the gravity of the RAM shortage hasn't fully sunk in yet
here's all consumer tech affected by the AI boom + resulting shortages:
- RAM modules (ofc)
- graphics cards (they have VRAM)
- CPUs (they have cache)
- SSDs (similar chips to RAM)
- HDDs (AI data centers buying in bulk)

in a way it's giving me motivation to work on music more, as a way to find some solace and respite from everything. perhaps a side effect, maybe someone else could find some joy in whatever i end up making? i can't promise much but i do want to make more art. it's been too long

i don't want to be too much of a doomer on here.
i know this site is an escape for a lot of people. i understand how important it is to have that.
