The rich will continue to suck up the money in perpetuity. Like terrorism, greed can't be wiped out, just controlled. We know the first basic steps toward controlling it; we just need a congress with the guts to take them.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗱𝘀 don't get to spend the money on senseless wars, a modern Gestapo, a shadow prison system obviously intended for more than they're admitting, or billionaire welfare.

It is, of course, tax evasion. That, of course, is illegal. Greedy people do that simply because they want to keep the money and spend it on themselves.

But we can take greed out of the equation by putting that money into escrow. It doesn't make it legal, but it does give it moral legitimacy.

The climate crisis affects every part of our lives, including chocolate. High heat and drought made cocoa prices soar over recently, forcing Hershey’s and others to find cheaper, alternatives. Check the labels. If it says “milk chocolate,” it’s good. “Chocolate candy” - nope; not the real thing.

Forgiveness rarely helps the person being forgiven anyway. It more often helps the person forgiving. I don't like staying mad, and by not being mad and engaging on common ground, I think I did change one person's mind. That's one more than I normally hope for.

The idea isn't to get to like them or convince them to be likable. It's to get them thinking about changing their vote. That's what we need. It helps us win.

I am not so unforgiving. I'll give anyone credit for personal growth, even if I don't like what it took to get there.

Either this article is missing substantial context, or there are some really overblown reactions. Something is clearly missing, and I have to do some independent learning.
