4. Hardware

Whether using frugal off-the-shelf parts, or involving exotic detection methods, e.g., radioactivity, there should be something of interest to everyone.

3. Pulse sequences

High-field methods can be used in alternative ways. For example composite pulses, usually employed to compensate errors, can be used to exclude fields from interacting with certain spins.

2. Applications in Chemistry and Physics

Throughout its history, ZULF NMR has been used to study magnetically inhomogeneous materials. You can read about latest applications from batteries, to surface science, to chirality.

1. Theory

Given the right frame of reference, ZULF NMR is simple to understand.

Here's a 3D representation of zero-quantum NMR signals evolving in time across magnetic fields from "zero" to "high".

Great article, but...

In this case, "levitating" is the better word. NMR of "floating" samples is about 70 years old (who is going to tell them about Magic-Angle-Spinning NMR?) πŸ˜‰
