One might argue that a reach weapon might expand the default reach to yourself, but given the nature of most Reach weapons, that would be absurd. So, technically, when making an Attack against other creatures, you are not within your own reach.

Rules as intended, no. As written, I don't think so. You are not adjacent to yourself. Reach defaults to adjacent to you, and is expanded by the weapon's Reach.
